You Ask - I Answer

WHAT IS ART THERAPY?

“Art therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses the creative process of making art to improve a person’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being.”

DO I HAVE TO TALK?

Talking is not mandatory, but is highly encouraged. Speaking about the art work builds awareness about internal issues and can speed the process of healing.

HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?

Each session is 50 minutes.

WHAT IF I’M NOT GOOD AT ART?

You do NOT need any experience doing art in order to get the full benefits of art therapy. Art therapy is not about creating a perfect product or image. It’s about the process of creating and the meanings and emotions associated with the art work.

WHAT IF I DON’T WANT TO DO ART ONE DAY?

If you come to a session not wanting to create, no need to worry! You can spend that time just talking.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

You do not need to bring anything. All supplies and art materials will be provided to you during your session.
